A staggeringly beautiful setting, which must
be seen to be fully appreciated, in the grounds of Boturich Castle, is not only
the most romantic Wedding location in Scotland, but also the ideal spot for
Corporate Events and Conferences. This family home, enjoys the amenity of 140 acres of surrounding mature woodland and parkland leading down to Loch Lomond. Boturich is less than half an hour from the centre of Glasgow
and about 20 minutes from Glasgow International Airport.
Built in 1832, on the site of the previous castle, Boturich Castle belonged to the Lennox and Buchanan families before the present owners took over. At this time, the novelist Sir Walter Scott visited Boturich to research the novel Rob Roy. In 1850, the Octagon Tower, was added and became the principal entrance to the castle.
